Alex Scovell

Managing Director

With over a decade’s experience in digital marketing Alex founded Digital Oyster primarily as a CPA email marketing agency specialising in the UK market.  We have evolved to specialise in native advertising in-house campaigns through a wide range of digital media channels.   Over the years Alex has used his expertise to position the company at the forefront of native advertising, developing state of the art technology to get the very best lead quality possible.

Devoted husband and father of three, Alex is known far and wide for his love of boy’s toys, including his beloved motor bike and his skills on the pool table.

Carl Clark

Media Director

Prior to joining the team Carl’s background in e-learning and social media led to an interest in all things digital. With keen interest across all digital channels his expertise have grown to head up the social team, thriving on competition, Carl will always find a way to deliver on volume while maintaining quality.

Carl is not a guy to be messed with, with a second-degree black belt in taekwondo and a love for beating the drums, it’s safe to say Carl is well loved in the office.  A shark on the pool table, his enthusiasm for the dance floor and a good tune has no limits.

Tessa Gillies

Account Director

With 25 years’ experience in Direct Response Marketing, Tessa has been heavily involved in many avenues of marketing from offline media buying and running Press, to TV and Radio campaigns, before discovering her true passion in digital for the last 17 years.  Tessa is a pioneer in digital, previously working for one of the first UK companies to adopt a CPA performance model.

Known in the office for her baking talents, Tessa has blown everyone away by completing a London Marathon and can play a mean ‘Fly me to the Moon’ on the saxophone.

Franc Tribo

Digital Director

Franc is drawn towards data like a moth to a flame. If there is a report that needs refining, integration to be integrated or jiggery that needs pokery, Franc is there making it possible.

With a BEng Computer Science, and another BEng in Telecommunications, his data mining and optimisation ability is second to none. He has simplified and streamlined processes in all areas of the office, allowing the company to grow in all the right directions.

Proud father to a gorgeous 6-year-old son, Franc is a keen contender in the Digital Oyster pool league. A fan of Formula 1, music and running, Franc’s fun-loving attitude is a pleasure to have in the office, as well as his ability to make the world’s best mocha.

Irma Burbano

Finance Manager

Originally from Ecuador and with three degrees under her belt in Engineering, Adult Education and Bookkeeping, Irma has always had a love of numbers. Her practical thinking and attention to detail has kept the Digital Oyster finances ticking like clockwork.

Keeper of the company credit card, Irma has so far resisted the temptation to book a sneaky holiday abroad. Although with the state of everyone’s expense receipts, she definitely deserves one. She has the patience of a saint.

When Irma isn’t playing with numbers she loves nothing more than to spend quality time with her family, listen to some music and relax with a good book.

Amy Edwards

Account Director

Amy started out in affiliate/email marketing, branched into search engine optimisation and is now an ace at native advertising.  Amy juggles account management, creative design, data analytics and testing!  Amy’s aspiration is to beat Alex’s conversion rates –  we love a bit of healthy competition here!

Amy has a passion for graffiti and travel, both of which she winningly combined when she painted live at Europe’s biggest graffiti festival last year and again this year.  A keen paddleboarder, Amy takes on any challenge – scuba diving, sky diving, volcano boarding – the bucket list just keeps growing.


Liz Scott

Operations and Network Manager

Liz is responsible for managing the Digital Oyster publisher network. From business development to lead quality, her attention to detail and love for analytics has helped her grow campaigns using holistic strategies.

By establishing key partnerships and maintaining consistent quality using industry leading platforms, Liz is building a publisher empire. Never one to shy away from a challenge, Liz will always find a way to increase volume while delivering the highest quality leads. If you tell her she can’t, she will – with bells on.

A self-confessed Excel geek, she also keeps the reporting side of things ship shape and loves a techy challenge.

A hard house raver back in her 20’s, Liz now lives in the sticks with her partner and young son, 2 cats a and ride-on lawn mower. If you’ve had a hard day, Liz will always be there to cheer you up.

Rachael Burns

Account Manager

Prior to joining the Oyster team, Rachael studied LLB Law and could have fitted quite happily in with the cast of ‘Suits’. Luckily for us, as an avid social media user, her interest soon turned to social media marketing – now testing and utilising different targeting strategies, her skills to build and attract audiences are quickly growing.

Rachael manages and optimises various Facebook campaigns, ensuring these are monitored daily and volumes and quality are delivered. As well as managing campaigns, Rachael split tests our advertorials and landing pages and now has a number of successful tests under her belt.


India Dolton Martin

Digital Operations Executive

India is responsible for maintaining the technical side of our pages and campaigns. From data analysis to sifting through and changing mountains of code – India does it all and is a key member of the digital team.

India holds a BSc in Criminology and Psychological Studies from the University of Southampton, and still loves a crime drama from time to time.

When India isn’t trawling through data she loves nothing more than a glass of wine and night with the girls.

Timothy Coxon

 Web Developer

Tim does technical things no one else understands and we love him for it. From fixing stuff with his technical wizardry to boosting team morale with punny jokes or reprogramming the coffee machine with funny messages.

Tim came out of Portsmouth University, an avid gamer with a passion for coffee and photography. He spent time as a Camp Warden and has now developed into Netflix connoisseur having watched “everything worth watching”.

When you think you know everything about Tim, he surprises you with something new – so watch this space.

Rebecca Burns-Izatt

PA to our MD Alex

Rebecca’s background in local press makes her a huge asset to the team.  Rebecca is in charge of our M.D. Alex, she keeps him on track with all the demands of running a thriving, growing business and keeps everyone else in the team on their toes!   Rebecca loves to organise things – she should have a clipboard and a high-vis jacket…

Originally from sunny Ireland, Rebecca has lived in Sussex for 15 years now, enjoying the prime location by the sea. Rebecca has a passion for making jewellery and she admits that this hobby has slightly taken over her life!  Rebecca also loves travelling and discovering new places, she most recently spent some time living the Nordic lifestyle in Sweden.

Harry Wykes

Digital Executive

Harry optimises the native channels ensuring campaigns are delivering high quality leads, with a keen eye for strategy he has helped grow a number of campaigns and is always keen to test new features. Fuelled by cheesy music, Harrys optimism and love for marketing remains unrivalled.

As well as digital marketing, Harry is studying with the Oxford College of Marketing and enjoys anything to do with cars. He regularly attends track days and sporting events at venues such as Brands Hatch and Silverstone. Harry loves his Mini Cooper and is planning a road trip to Scotland soon and in his spare time he takes to the downs for a cycle, whatever the weather!
